Indications & Dose:

INDICATIONS: For the gradual bleaching of hyper pigmented skin conditions such as chloasma, melasma, freckles, senile lentigines and other unwanted areas of melanin hyper pigmentation.


DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Apply a thin film once daily to the area in need of bleaching or as directed by Physician. Make-up can be applied after the treated area has dried. Most discolorations begin to lighten after four wks of treatment but it may take longer. After desired bleaching, use only as needed tomaintain results. After clearing and during maintenance therapy, sun exposure should be avoided on bleached skin by applicaltion of a sunscreen orby wearing protective darkening from recurring.

Contraindications:

Prior history of sensitvity or allergic reaction to these products of the ingredients. The safety of topical hydrquinone use during pregnancy or in children (12 yrs and under) has not been established.

Test for skin sensitivity before using by applying the product to an unbroken patch of skin. If no redness or itching occurs within 24 hrs, begin treatment. If no bleaching effect is noted after three months of treatment, use of hydroquinone products should be discontinued

Adverse Effects:

ADVERSE REACTIONS: No systemic adverse reaction has been reported. Occasional hypersensitvity (localized contact dermatitis) may occur, in which case the medication should be discontinued and the Physician notified immediately.


OVERDOSE: There have been no systemic reactions from the use of topical hydroquinone. However; treatment should be limited torelativelysmall areas of the body at one time since some patients experience a transient skin reddening and a mild burning sensation which does not preclude treatment.
