Indications & Dose:

Female: Adults: 

Anovulation:

• BY INJECTION

initially usually 75-150 IU daily by SC Inj. Monitor response.

Superovulation:

• BY INJECTION

Usually 150-225 IU daily by SC Inj. starting on day 2 or 3 of cycle usually 2 weeks after starting GnRH agonist treatment. Monitor response. See literature.

Male: Adults:

• BY INJECTION

150 IU three times a week by SC inj. for a minimum of 4 months. Monitor semen samples after 4-6 months; treatment for 18 months or more may be necessary.

Children: Not applicable

Contraindications:

Pregnancy and lactation, prior hypersensitivity to FSH or to any of the excipients, in case of tumours of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, ovarian enlargement or cyst not due to polycystic ovarian disease, gynaecological haemorrhages of unknown aetiology, ovarian, uterine or mammary carcinoma or when an effective response cannot be obtained.
