Name: HYOSCYAMINE SULPHATE

Indications & Dose:

Irritable bowel syndrome, biliary colic, hypermotility in cystitis, adjunctive treatment of peptic ulcer disease, renal colic, sinus bradycardia (parenteral), acute rhinitis; sialorrhea ; hyperhidrosis.



Adults: 125-250 mcg three or four times daily. 


Drops 10-20-40  drops  every 4 hour  


Child : Drops  1-10 yr  10-20 drops  every 4 hour  


 


 

Contraindications:

 Narrow angle glaucoma, GI obstruction, myasthenia gravis, paralytic ileus, GI atony, toxic megacolon, prostatic hypertrophy.

 Hyperthyroidism, CAD, dysrhythmias, CHF, ulcerative colitis, hypertension, hiatal hernia, hepatic disease, renal disease, urinary retention
