| Introduction | 1. Rectal and anal mucosa- Repaired by interrupted suture from above down-wards by 2/0 or 3/0 atraumatic chromic catgut. 2. Anal sphincter- Repaired by chromic catgut no. 1. 3. Vaginal epithelium- Repaired by continuous suture in obs. case and episiotomy. (Interrupted suture in gynecological case). from apex (above downwards) by chromic cat gut no. 1/0 with round body needle. 4. Levator ani and superficial perineal muscle- Interrupted suture layer by layer deep to super-ficial by chromic catgut no. 1/0 with cutting body needle. 5. Perineal skin- Interrupted suture by silk or chromic catgut no. 1. |
