| Name | PYORRHOEA |
| Cause | When food, bacteria and calculi deposit in ‘dental pockets’ (area between gum & teeth) may start an inflammatory process leading to formation of pus with or without discomfort or other symptoms which is called pyorrhoea. Pyorrhoea may be corrected by removing calculus, regular cleansing of teeth & avoidanec of irregular food habit. If pyorrhoea continues unchecked, the involved teeth become loose, & eventually will be lost as a result of resorption of supporting alveolar bone. |
