Indications & Dose:

Prophylaxis and reduction of inflammation and associated symptoms following ocular surgery

ALLERGY AND CROSS-SENSITIVITY Contra-indicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to aspirin or any other NSAID—which includes those in whom attacks of asthma, angioedema, urticaria or rhinitis have been precipitated by aspirin or any other NSAID.


INDICATION AND USES: Cataract extraction , conjunctivitis – seasonal allergic corneal abrasion,* cystoid macular edema, ocular pain, pain— moderately severe

Contraindications:

Bronchospasm. Nasal polyps, angioedema precipitated by aspirin or other NSAIDs; active peptic ulcer disease; recent GI bleeding or perforation; advance ranal impairment, volume depletion; before any major surgery; suspected or confirmed cerebrovascular bleeding, hemorrhagic diathesis, incomplete hemostasis, and those at high risk of bleeding; concurrent ASA or NSAIDs: neuraxial (epidural or intrathecal) administration due to its alcohol content; concomitant use of probenecid; while wearing soft contact lenses (ophth)

CNS: Dizziness, headache, light headedness
CV: Chest pain, CHF, dysrhythmias, edens, hypertension, palpitation, tachycardia
EENT: Dry eyes, hearing disturbances, photophobia, tinnits; visual disturbances; burning stinging upon instillation (ophth)
GI: Abdominal cramps, constipation, diarrhea, dyspepsia, flatulence, gastric or duodenal ulcer with bleeding or perforation, hepatits, nausea, occult blood in stool, pancreatits, vomiting
GU: Acute renal failure
HEME: Agranulocytosis, eosinophilia leukopenia, neutropenia, pancytopenia, thrombocytopenia
METAB: Hyperglycemia, hyperkalemia, hypoglycemia, hyponateramia
RESP: Bronchospasm, dyspnea
SKIN: Photosensitivity, rash urticaria
