Clotrimazole Topical

Indications & Dose:

Ringworm (tinea) infections. Athlete’s foot, paronychia, pityriasis versicolor. Erythema, Intertrigo. Fungal nappy rash. Candida vulvitis and candida balanitis, oral candidiasis. Fungal and gr
am+ve bacterial infection of skin and nails, fungal externa, vulvitis, balanitis.

DOSE:

lotion : Two to three drops of twice daily or as directed by doctors.

Cream: Apply sparingly to the affected area and rub it gently twice daily.

Precautions:

Not to be used in eye. Continue the treatment for minimum period of 2 to 4 weeks after disappearance of all signs of infection.
Pregnancy: Use with caution in 1st trimester.
Breast-feeding: Use with caution.
Old age: May be used.

Interaction:

Polyene Antibiotics: Antagonises effects of polyene antibiotics.
