Indications & Dose:

Colorectal cancer,
DOSAGE
Adult



Day 1: 85 mg/m2 in 250-500 ml D5W and leucovorin 200 mg/m2 IV infusion in D5W over 2 hr at the same time in separate bags using a Yline, followed by 5-FU 400 mg/m2 IV over 2-4 min, followed by 5-FU 600 mg/m2 IV infusion in 500 ml D5W as a 22 hr continuous infusion,


Day 2: Leucovorin 200 mg/m2 IV infusion over 2 hr, followed by 5-FU 400 mg/m2 IV bolus given over 2-4 min, followed by 5-FU 600 mg/m2 IV infusion in 500 ml D5W as a 22 hr continuous infusion


 INDICATIONS AND USES: Colorectal cancer metastatic (recurrent or progressive) in combination with 5-fluorouracil and leucovorin

Contraindications:

Side Effects:

CNS: Neuropathy (74%)
CV: Thromboembolism (9%)
EENT: Deafness, stomatitis
GI: Diarrhea, elevated ALT, nausea, pancreatitis, vomiting
GU: Elevated serum creatinine (10%)
HEME: Neutropenia (27%), thrombocytopenia (5%)


RESP: Bronchospasm, pulmonary fibrosis
SKIN: Alopecia, angioedema, thema, infusion site pain, pruritus, rash, urticaria
