Antazoline + Tetrahydrozoline

Indications & Dose:

Non-infectious irritative conjunctivitis, allergic and inflammatory conditions of the conjunctiva resulting from air pollutant or air borne pollens, hay fever and conjunctivitis vernalis.
DOSE


Adult: One to two drops every three to four hours during the acute phase and for maintenance therapy 1 drop 2-3 times daily.
Children: 1-2 drops per day. 

Contraindications:

Patients with narrow angle glaucoma, dry eye and individuals hypersensitive to any of the components of OCULERG.
CHILDREN below 2 years of age. 

Side Effects:

Burning sensation. Reactive hyperaemia, headaches, drowsiness and tachycardia may occur particularly in small children.

Precautions:

Should be used carefully in CHILDREN. The preparation is not intended for very long-term medication. If a longer treatment is foreseen, it should be prescribed and monitored by a physician.Use with care in diabetics and patients suffering from severe heart disease.
Pregnancy/Lactation: Before prescribing the drug the potential benefits should be weighed against the possible hazards for the fetus/infants. 


 

Interaction:

Drug Tetrahydrozoline may not be used in patients receiving MAO inhibitors until ten days after the last treatment with such active ingredients.
