Indications & Dose:

Inhibition of intra-operative miosis during cataract surgery (but does not possess intrinsic mydriatic properties) | Postoperative inflammation in cataract surgery, strabismus surgery or argon laser trabeculoplasty | Pain in corneal epithelial defects after photorefractive keratectomy, radial keratotomy or accidental trauma | Seasonal allergic conjunctivitis

ALLERGY AND CROSS-SENSITIVITY Contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to aspirin or any other NSAID— which includes those in whom attacks of asthma, angioedema, urticaria or rhinitis have been precipitated by aspirin or any other NSAID


INDICATIONS: For the inhibition of intraoperative miosis. Postoperative and post-laser trabeculoplasty inflammation of the anterior segment of the eye. Postoperative inflammation after cataract extraction. Macular oedema and to prevent surgically induced miosis. Non infectious inflammatory conditions in the eye. post-traumatic inflammation as adjunct to antimicrobial therapy


DOSE 1-2 drops 3-4 times daily. Ocular Surgery: 1 drop every hr. pre-operatively, beginning 3 hrs. before. Continue postoperatively, 1 drop thrice a day


 

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to NSAIDs, those wearing contact lenses and during surgical procedures.

Side Effects:

Transient burning sensation. Rarely keratitis, photosensitivity, ocular allergy & delayed healing.

Acute eye infections may be masked by the use of topical NSAID.


PRECAUTIONS: In over-dosage eyes should be flushed with water.


Pregnancy & breast-feeding: Use with caution.
