Indications & Dose:

INDICATIONS: Long term reversible contraception.


Dose Adult : 18-40 years by subdermal implant remove in 5 years. Children: Not recommended 

Contraindications:

 History of severe arterial disease. thromboembolic disorder, risk of ischemic heart disease, liver disease, pregnancy, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, hormone dependent carcinoma

Side Effects:

Irregular or prolonged menstrual bleeding, spotting amenorrhoea,ovarian cysts, site reaction, headache, nausea, enlargment, weight gain, hirsutisim, hypertrichosis, alopacia.

Side Effects Or Adverse Reactions:

CNS: Dizziness, headache, nervousness
CV: Edema
EENT: Contact lens intolerance
GI: Weight gain, change of appetite, nausea
GU: Ovarian cysts, amenorrhea, cervicitis, irregular bleeding, many bleeding days, prolonged bleeding, spotting, vaginitis, galactorrhea, mastalgia METAB: Altered glucose tolerance
MS: Musculoskeletal pain
SKIN: Acne, dermatitis, hirsutism, hypertrichosis, infection at inj site; pain, itching at inj site, scalp hair loss
MISC: Breast tenderness, change in breast size, gynecomastia
