Indications & Dose:
Antispasmodic in uninhibited neurogenic or reflex neurogenic bladder, primary nocturnal enuresis, antispasmodic in various GI disorders, diabetic diarrhea, postgustatory sweating
Adults: 5mg 2-3 times a day. Maximum dose 5mg 4 times a day.
Elderly: 2.5mg twice a day. May be titrated to a maximum of 5mg twice a day.
Children: Under 5 years of age: Not recommended. Over a 5 years of age: Neurogenic bladder: Usual dose is 2.5mg twice a day; may be titrated to 5mg 2 or 3 times a day.
Nocturnal enuresis:
Usual dose is 2.5mg twice a day; may be titrated to 5mg 2 or 3 times a day. The last dose should be given before bed time.
Contraindications:
Angleclosure glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, partial or complete obstruction of the GI tract, adynamic ileus, megacolon, severe colitis, intestinal atony, obstructive uropathy, unstable cardiovascular status. BREAST FEEDING.
Side Effects:
CNS: Asthenia, dizziness, drowsiness, hallucinations, insomnia, restlessness
CV: Palpitations, tachycardia, vasodilation
EENT : Amblyopia, blurred vision, cycloplegia, decreased lacrimation, mydriasis
GI: Constipation, decreased GI motility, dty mouth, nausea, vomiting
Gel: Impotence, urinary hesitancy and retention
METAB: Suppression of lactation
SKIN: Decreased sweating, rash

Precautions:
Elderly, autonomic neuropathy, hepatic or renal disease, hyperthyroidism, CHD, prostatic hypertrophy, reflux esophagitis, ulcerative colitis
PREGNANCY: Use only if benefits outweigh risk.
Old age: Use with caution if frail elderly.
