Indications & Dose:
Osteolytic lesions, hypercalcaemia and bone pain associated with skeletal metastasses in breast cancer or multiple myeloma. Hypercalcaemia of malignancy.
Adults:
Cap. 4-8 Caps into to divided doses 2 hour before after meal
300mg daily by 8/mg 1/2 infusion for upto 7 days. Maintenance use Capsules.
CHILDRENS: Not recommended.
ALSO: INJECTION
INDICATIONS Hypercalcaemia of malignancy.
DOSAGES
Adults: Initially 1500 mg asa single inf. over 4 hrs for up to 7 days. Maintanance use caps/tabs.
CHILDREN: Not recommended.
Contraindications:

Side Effects:
GI upset, renal dysfunction. Transient proteinurea. Reversible levations of parathyroid hormone, creatinin, lactate dehydrogenase, transaminase, alkaline phosphatase. Rarely asymptomatic hypocalcaemia, skin reactions.
