Pioglitazone + Metformin Hcl

Indications & Dose:

Type 2 diabetes not controlled by metformin alone



Adult: 1 tablet twice daily, titration with the individual components (pioglitazone and metformin) desirable before initiation 

Contraindications:

 Patients with: 1. Renal disease or renal dysfunction (e.g. as suggested by serum creatinine levels >1.5mg/dL [males], > 1.4mg/ dL [females], or abnormal creatinine clearance.) 2. Known hypersensitivity to Pioglitazone, Metformin or any other component of Piozer Plus. 3. Acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis should be treated with insulin.


OVERDOSAGE: In case of over dosage, appropriate supportive treatment should be initiated according to patient’s clinical signs and symptoms.
