OSELTAMIVIR

Indications & Dose:

BY MOUTH
Treatment of uncomplicated influenza infection in adults who have been symptomatic for no more than 2 days; reduces median time to improvement of symptoms by 1.3 days

Adult and child >16yr

• PO 75 mg bid for 10 days, for post exposure prophylaxis for up to six weekes during an epedemic; dose adjustment for renal insufficiency: if CrCI < 30 mm/min, give 75 mg q day for 5 days

Child 1-3 years , body weight under 15 kg 30 mg once daily , body weight under 15 kg -30kg 45mg once daily ,body weight under 23-40 kg 60 mg once daily , over 40 kg adult dose.
