AMOXICILLIN + FLUCLOXICILLIN

Indications & Dose:

Bronchitis, pneumonia, empy-ema, lung abscess and infections associated with  cystic fibrosis.  Tonsillitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, otitis media and quinsy.  Septic abortion, salpingitis, puerperal pyrexia and caesarean section prophylaxis. Cystitis and pyelonephritis, skin and soft tissue infec-tions: Abscesses, boils carbuncles and postoperative wound infections, gastro intestinal infections, septicaemia, endocar-ditis and orthopaedic infection:


DOSE


Oral: Adults 500 mg-1mg every 6 hours or more frequently according to the severity of the infection. Oral:


Children


Neonates, 0.6ml of drops every 4 hours 1 month 2 years, 1/4 adult dose; 2-12years 1/2 adult dose


Inj: Adults: 250mg vial or 500mg vial i.m or i.v four to six hourly 


Children: Up to 2 years, quarter adult dose, 2-10 years, half adult dose.
