Indications & Dose:
Maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Adults: 50mcg (1 tablet) once or twice daily.
Children: Above 6 years: 25mcg (½ tablet or one teaspoonful of syrup) once or twice daily 3-5 years: 18.75-25mcg (3/4-1 teaspoonful) twice daily. 1-2 years: 12.5-18.75mcg (1/2 -3/4 teaspoonful) twice daily. <1 year: 6.25-12.5mcg (1/4-½ teaspoonful) twice daily.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity
Side Effects:
Palpitations and occasional flushing. Tremors and occasional headache, dizziness and sleeplessness, occasional nausea, occasionally eruption has been reported
PREGNANCY: Safe use of Procaterol has not been established in pregnancy

Precautions:
Excessive use of betastimulants possibly causes arrhythmia and cardiac arrest. Should be used with caution in hyperthyroidism, hypertension, cardiac disease and diabetes mellitus
Interaction:
Concomitant use of Procaterol with catecholamines should be made with care.
