FLUTICASONE + SALMETEROL

Indications & Dose:

Regular treatment of asthma where use  of a long acting β2 Agonist  and an inhaled corticosteroid is appropriate.


DOSE


Adult


2 pufs twice daily at lowest effective inhaled corticosteroid dose

Special Precautions:

Pulmonary tuberculosis, severe cardiovascular disorders, diabetes, hypokalaemia, thyrotoxicosis. Paradoxical bronchospasm; discontinue immediatly. Prolonged treatment with high doses increases risk of adrenal suppression and systemic effects, monitor adrenal function. Monitor height of children on prolonged therapy, consider additional steroid during times of stress or surgery.


Pregnancy. Lactation. Withdraw gradually.

Oral cadidiasis, hoarseness, headache, palpitation, hypersensitivity, tremor, cardiac arryhythmias, myalgia, arthralgia, muscle cramps.
