CETIRIZINE HYDROCHLORIDE

Indications & Dose:

Symptomatic relief of allergy such as hay fever, chronic idiopathic urticaria, atopic dermatitis BY MOUTH Child 2–5 years: 2.5 mg twice daily Child 6–11 years: 5 mg twice daily Child 12–17 years: 10 mg once daily Adult: 10 mg once daily OR Adults: 10mg (2 tsp/10ml or 1 tab) once daily in the evening. Children: 2-6 years, 5mg (1 tsp/5ml or half tab) once daily, alternatively 2.5mg (half tsp 2.5ml) twice daily; 7-12 years, 10mg (2tsp/10ml or tab) once daily, alternatively 5mg (1tsp/5ml or half tab) twice daily; over 12 years, same as adult under 2 years not recommended 

Contraindications:

Side Effects:

Drowsiness, headache, dizziness, agitation, dry mouth, G.I. upsets. 

Cautions:

Renal impairment, pregnancy.
