Indications & Dose:

Symptomatic treatment of acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis



Adult: 300 mg twice daily for up to 10 days


OR


Acute and chronic respiratory diseases:


300mg capsule twice daily for 3-4 weeks.


Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD):


300mg capsule twice daily for 3-6 months or 225mg sachet 2-3 times daily for 3-6 months. To preserve lung structure in smokers: 300mg capsule twice daily for 2-3 months. To preserve lung structure in Tuberculosis alongwith anti-TB drugs. 150mg capsule twice daily.


For Maintenance Therapy:


150mg capsule twice daily for 3-4 weeks. Children: 8-12 years, (acute & chronic respiratory diseases) 150mg capsule twice daily for 2-3 weeks. 4-8 years, (acute & chronic respiratory diseases) suspension 1 TSF (175mg) twice daily for 1-2 weeks. 6 months to 3 years (acute & chronic respiratory diseases) Half TSF twice daily for 1-2 weeks.

l HEPATIC IMPAIRMENT  max. 300mg daily in mild to moderate impairment. Avoid in severe impairment.
