Indications & Dose:

Treatment of hypertension



Adult: one tablet daily, using the strength as clinically appropriate.


Children: Not recommended

Contraindications:

Hepatic or severe renal impairment, cardiogenic shock, acute MI, unstable angina.

Precautions:

Salt or volume depletion, severe congestive heart failure, renal disease, renal artery stenosis, aortic or mitral valve stenosis, obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, primary aldosteronism. Mild to moderate renal impairment, monitor serum potassium in patients at risk of hyperkalaemia


PREGNANCY RISK FACTOR C/D (2nd and 3rd trimesters)


 

Interaction:

Lithium, K-supplements, K+-sparing diurectics, salt substitutes, NSAIDs, CYP3A4 inducers and inhibitors, sildenafil
