MILRINONE

Indications & Dose:

Severe congestive heart failure

• BY INJECTION

Adult

• IV loading dose (optional) 50mcg/kgover 10 minutes followed by maintainance dose titrated according to hemodynamic and clinical response; Maintainance dose: IV infusion 0.375-0.75mcg/kg/ minute

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to milrinone, inamrinoneor any component of the formulation; concurrent use of inamirone 

Side Effects:

CNS: headache, peripheral neutritis, psychotic reaction, tremor

CV: Ventricular arrhythemia, sustained ventricular tachycardia

MisS: Anaphylaxis
